Hand in Hand into the Future: Canberra Chapter of ZJUAAA Hosts Exchange Symposium with ZIBS Australian Delegation

On July 18, the Canberra Chapter of the Zhejiang University Alumni Association of Australia hosted a warm and meaningful coffee exchange session with a visiting delegation from the Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS).

Twelve alumni from the Canberra chapter gathered with the five delegation members for an engaging, hour-long discussion. The conversation centered on the international development of ZIBS, alumni engagement, talent cultivation, and the strengthening of the ZJU alumni network in Australia.

7月18日，澳大利亚浙大校友会堪培拉分会与浙江大学国际联合商学院访澳代表团举行了一场轻松而富有意义的咖啡交流座谈。来自堪培拉校友分会的12位校友与国际联合商学院访澳代表团5位成员欢聚一堂，围绕学院国际化发展、校友工作、人才培养以及澳洲校友网络建设等话题进行了一个多小时的深入交流。

The symposium took place in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Jiayi Chen, President of the Canberra Chapter of the Zhejiang University Alumni Association Australia, extended a heartfelt welcome to the visiting delegation on behalf of all local alumni. Subsequently, Shenjiang Mo, Associate Dean of the Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS), highlighted the school's recent achievements in international development, Sino-foreign cooperative education, and innovative talent cultivation, while sharing the school's future strategic vision and planning.

座谈会在轻松融洽的氛围中进行。澳大利亚浙大校友会堪培拉分会会长陈嘉一代表全体校友对母校代表团的到来表示热烈欢迎；随后，浙江大学国际联合商学院副院长莫申江介绍了学院近年来在国际化发展与中外合作办学、创新人才培养等方面取得的成果，并分享了学院未来的发展思路和规划。

During the exchange session, attending alumni shared insights based on their own learning, working, and living experiences in Australia. They actively offered suggestions and ideas on a range of key topics, including the development of the Master of Digital Transformation and Entrepreneurship program—a joint educational initiative between Zhejiang University and the Australian National University—as well as alumni services, international cooperation, young alumni growth, university-industry collaboration, and the integration of overseas talent resources.

The discussion was vibrant, candid, and engaging throughout, fully reflecting overseas alumni's deep attachment to their alma mater and their passionate support for its future growth.

交流环节中，与会校友结合自身在澳大利亚学习、工作和生活的经历，围绕浙江大学与澳大利亚国立大学合作举办数字化转型与创业专业硕士学位教育项目建设与发展，校友服务、国际交流合作、青年校友成长、校企合作及海外人才资源整合等议题积极建言献策。大家畅所欲言、深入交流，现场气氛热烈，充分体现了海外校友始终心系母校、关心学校发展的深厚情怀与积极支持。

Both sides agreed that alumni are Zhejiang University’s most valuable asset and a key driving force in promoting the university's internationalization. Moving forward, both parties hope to further strengthen the connections between ZIBS and Australian alumni, fully leverage the strengths of the overseas alumni network, and build more platforms for exchange and cooperation. This will create greater opportunities for communication, practical experience, and collaboration for Australian-based alumni, current students, and ZJU scholars aiming to study or advance their careers in Australia—jointly elevating Zhejiang University's global standing in international education.

双方一致认为，校友是浙江大学最宝贵的财富，也是学校推进国际化发展的重要力量。未来，希望进一步加强浙江大学国际联合商学院与澳洲校友之间的联系，充分发挥海外校友网络优势，搭建更多交流合作平台，为在澳校友、在校学生以及有志赴澳学习、就业和发展的浙大学子创造更多交流、实践与合作机会，共同助力浙江大学国际化办学水平不断提升。

This exchange session not only deepened mutual understanding between ZIBS and the Canberra Alumni Chapter, but also fostered even stronger alumni ties. It has laid a solid foundation for broader, deeper cooperation and engagement between the school and the Australian alumni community in the years ahead.

此次交流座谈不仅加深了浙江大学国际联合商学院与堪培拉校友分会之间的相互了解，也进一步凝聚了校友情谊，为今后开展更加广泛、更加深入的合作交流奠定了良好基础。
